Daewoong Pharm. Released ‘Esdiol-Half’ the Menopausal Hormones

Daewoong Pharm. Co., Ltd. (CEO Jong Wook Lee) has released ‘Esdiol-Half (active ingredient: estradiol 1.03mg, norethisterone acetate 0.5mg)’ the menopausal hormone on November 21st. It is the replacement hormone to prevent osteoporosis and menopausal symptoms caused by estrogen deficiency for women with the post menopause longer than 1 year. The symptoms include hot flashes, fatigue, anxiety, depression, sleep disorders, and etc.

In particular, this newly developed product is attracting attention as giving an equivalent effect with the half does of the existing products. Low-dose hormone therapy is being recommended home and abroad and the United States Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ACOG), North American Menopause Society (NAMS), and the Asia Pacific Menopause Society (APMF) also have encouraged using the minimum amount.

It also has been proven to be the effective treatment to prevent osteoporosis, to reduce vaginal dryness and facial flushing, and to improve by the large-scale clinical research.
